A phone gets used standing up, one-handed, in the gap between two other things. If it needs a tutorial first, we built the wrong thing. We don't bolt on the tutorial.
02
Where a camera is involved, the work happens on the device and the photo is never uploaded. Not a policy we could quietly rewrite — the app has nowhere to send it.

You showed up and did the thing, so you get what you came for. Extras can carry a price. The point never does.
The name
Three and a half metres of purpose-built hardware whose only job was to play Nim, against a queue of people at the Festival of Britain. Its display was a wall of light bulbs showing the game and the machine's own arithmetic at the same time.
Ferranti built it to advertise computing. The public queued to play instead. That is the entire brief.
Play it — the panel is live
Three rows — 3, 5 and 7 lamps. You and Nimrod take turns.
On your turn, put out as many lamps as you like, but all from one row. Clicking a lamp puts out that lamp and every lamp to its right in that row.
Whoever puts out the last lamp on the board wins.
The machine never makes a mistake, so the opening move decides the whole game — and only one opening works. Stuck? Press Hint and it will name the move for you.
We hand builds to a small list of people who tell us the truth about them. Room for a few more.
